The Sacred Work of Slow Becoming

There’s a kind of growth that doesn’t look like growth at all.

It’s quiet. Hidden. Deep beneath the surface where no one can applaud you.

This kind of growth doesn’t come with applause or likes or instant results.

It’s not loud, and it’s rarely comfortable but it’s real.

And lately, I’ve been learning that this is the kind of growth I’m in.

“Not every season is meant to bloom in public. Some are meant to root in silence.”

When Recognition Feels Like a Test

A few weeks ago, I received a message on LinkedIn. A group said they wanted to name me one of the 100 Most Influential Women of 2025.

At first, I was thrilled! It felt like a sign that my work was finally being seen. But as the conversation continued, something inside me shifted.

They began to explain their “packages”: $1,200 for Diamond, $900 for Platinum, $400 for Gold. Each one framed with that familiar urgency: “You’ll need to act now.”

And I could feel my body tighten.

Because I know that energy.

That’s scarcity.

That’s exactly what I help my clients unlearn.

Integrity Is Slow Medicine

Right there, mid-call, I took a breath and said, “This doesn’t feel right.”

In that moment, I chose peace over performance.

Truth over exposure.

Integrity over influence.

When I hung up, I felt calm. Grounded in the knowing that my medicine cannot be built on manipulation or fear.

This isn’t about judgment. It’s about alignment. Because my work, this calling is about guiding women from scarcity to wholeness. I can’t do that if I’m participating in the very energy I’m trying to help them release.

“Integrity might slow me down, but it keeps me true.”

You Are Being Grown Differently

That moment reminded me of something deep and simple:

You are being grown differently.

Your growth may not look like anyone else’s.

It may not come with the fast expansion, the big platform, or the constant praise.

But that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Some of us are being grown in ways that require patience . Because when your purpose is sacred, your roots must be strong enough to hold it.

The Gift of the Root Season

If your life feels still, if you’re watching others bloom while you’re tending to the unseen, know this:

You are not behind. You are becoming.

Your stillness is not failure; it’s formation.

Your slowness is not punishment; it’s preparation.

You are being grown differently because your harvest will feed more than just you.

It will feed your lineage.

It will nourish the women who come after you.

“You are being grown differently because your harvest will feed more than just you.”

A Closing Reflection

You don’t have to rush.

You don’t have to prove that you’re blooming.

Just root.

Just breathe.

Just trust that your becoming is right on time.

Because integrity might take longer,

but it always leads home.
